The Perceptron: First Neural Network

Frank Rosenblatt invents the Perceptron, a simple neural network that can learn to classify patterns. Implemented on custom hardware (the Mark I Perceptron), it was the first machine that could 'learn' from experience, inspiring decades of neural network research.
